The Newlove Nurtury FAQs:
Are you accepting new patients to the practice?
We do have limited availability, at this time we are accepting new patients. In order to provide best practices to you and your little ones, our patient panels will cap once filled and then placed on a waitlist.
How do I join the practice?
Fill out your contact info with your preferred contact method if you would like to schedule a consultation to determine if direct primary care is a good fit for your family.
Why do I need a Direct Primary Care Provider for my healthy newborn?
It's wonderful to know your child is in good health, and our aim is to maintain their well-being all year long! We aspire to be an integral part of your family life, offering more than just an annual check-up.
Many families value the reassurance that comes from having direct text or call access for quick queries, as well as consistent doctor visits, zero wait times, extended consultation periods, and adaptable scheduling. This unique approach to healthcare eliminates the usual inconvenience associated with contacting a doctor.
Our practice model also allows us the luxury of time to delve into critical aspects of your child's life such as sleep patterns, diet, physical activity, mental wellness, and academic performance. Together, we can formulate a holistic plan to enhance your child’s overall health and well-being.
We understand that children are full of surprises—illnesses and minor injuries can occur without warning. In those times, having immediate access to your pediatrician is invaluable. Furthermore, it's worth noting that a visit to the emergency room or multiple trips to urgent care can sometimes exceed the cost of our annual membership fees.
What about insurance? Do I still need insurance?
You'll still require insurance for aspects of healthcare such as hospital stays, emergency room visits, and various tests, as these are not covered under our membership agreement. Many of our patients discover that a high-deductible insurance plan suffices once their primary care needs are met through our services.
We operate outside of traditional insurance networks, making us out-of-network providers. Our membership-based approach liberates us from the limitations of standard fee-for-service systems, granting you benefits like extended consultations, flexible appointment scheduling, and immediate access to your physician.
It's crucial to maintain your existing insurance for immunizations and for any potential hospitalizations, surgeries, or specialist consultations. Our set monthly fee will cover all your primary care requirements.
For a comprehensive understanding of which insurance package best suits your family's needs and to explore the possibility of using FSA/HSA funds for our membership fees or visits, we recommend consulting with your insurance advisor.
How do I pay membership?
Membership fees are charged monthly (on the first day of the month) to your bank account or credit card on file. Your registration fee of $125 is due at the time of registration.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. We require a 30-day written notice for cancellations. A re-enrollment fee may be assessed for families who wish to return after a cancellation.
What services are covered by my membership fee?
See a list of services on here.
Do you require vaccines?
We are vaccine choice friendly, we do not require vaccinations to receive care. We also offer extended vaccine schedules.
Are vaccines included with my membership fee?
No, vaccines are not included in the membership fee. The Newlove Nurtury is an evidence-based practice and discuss topics in an open minded, friendly way and will be happy to answer any questions about childhood immunizations.
Can I afford this personalized care?
There is a one-time $125 enrollment fee, and after that, a monthly fee is based on the care package you choose.
There are no hidden fees, no copays, no coinsurance fees or bills after your visit. In traditional corporate medicine co-pays for medical visits are anywhere from $20-$100, co-insurance bills are often unexpected, form completion is $25-$50, and home visits simply don't exist. With The Newlove Nurtury, ALL of these things are included in your small monthly fee! We do not cover the cost on medications or lab fees.
What if my child gets sick while out of town?
One of the benefits of such a small practice is that Tanya will personally know your child and their medical history very well. If appropriate, long-distance care such as virtual visits or calling in prescription medication can be provided.
